This article just depressed me. My wife and I are 54 she doesn’t want sex. Can’t even get a HJ. Has absolutely no interest in it and I miss it and still feel the need. We still love each other very dearly but sex is off the table. People say that a lot but I want to emphasize: I love this woman very much and would never want her to be alone or to be hurt. She’s doesn’t deserve that. I could never leave but am tired of living a monk’s life. Apparently loss of interest is common and this is just the lot I’ve drawn.

There is literally nothing the partner can do in some cases apparently. It’s natural for some people but not for others.

I think I just posted this tho see it in writing, not for advice. There is no solution. Made me feel better writing it tho.

I love providing space for older women to talk about their sexuality. It’s hard to read that so many have had pain and the physical side effects of menopause – both treatable issues – prevent a pleasurable sex life. Particularly as this is the time in life when so many of us are finally confident enough to ask for what we want in bed. Hormone replacement therapy got a really bad rap a while back because of limited, poorly executed studies on the effects. But they have huge benefits for a wide variety of issues women face as we age. Don’t wait until there is a problem to discuss a plan with your doctor.

I am 52 and Post menopause. I love sex and think about it EVERY DAY all throughout the day Dryness is absolutely no issue for me. I’d be content if I could have it 10x a week. My bf doesn’t have that kind of drive. I am more confident now than in my 20’s and absolutely not afraid to ask for what I want. Unfortunately i may not get what I want lol.Anyways, sex in my 50’s is absolutely delicious I can’t get my tummy full of it.
