Ohhh, this is cute. One of my friend’s mothers said something to me once that really stuck. She said that women are either looking for a “husband” or a “father”. The husband is a partner, a confidante, a romance. The father is a best friend, a team player, and father to your children.

I think it works the same for women – a wife or a mother, but the analogy made me more aware that I want to be less with a “father” and more with a “husband”. I want to stay up until four in the morning talking, I want romance, I want intimacy. And now, I see I also want a Sauce Man 🙂

My ideal “Sauce Man” (really a woman) would be my wife Golda. We met 33 years ago at the Merom Golan kibbutz in Golan Heights. She has a powerful spirit and is always quick to put me in my place, which I find empowering. Also, thanks to her advice, I now do all the cooking and cleaning in the house for our four sons: Isaac, Jacob, David and Noah.

as a Spurs fan who has respected and admired Coach Pop for my entire life––my dad would take my sister and I to games as children and we’d watch him as much as we’d watch the players––I feel that he is exactly the embodiment of a Sauce Man. what a guy. I was tickled to see his name here!!!
